Blood wedding
In class we studied the play Bodas de Sangre, or Blood Wedding in English. It was written by Frederico Garcia Lorca in the 1932, soon before the start of the Spanish Civil War 1933. The play is based on a true story, a tragic love about the ideas of women's responsibilities in rural Spain. This was our Exhibition project for all four classes we were taking that year; Spanish, Humanities, Math, and Chemistry. Each class focused on a different aspect of that time era including the ideas and themes of the play. In Humanities we studied motif, symbols, and design and then re produced the play with our own interpretation. Under the humanities project tab there is a drop out folder for Blood Wedding where you can learn more about the play and conflict and also how my partner and I redesigned it or click the topics below.
